XtremIO به راهکار ذخیره سازی فلشی شرکت EMC اطلاق می شود که بر پایه هاردهای فلشی ساخته شده اند و از اینرو به آنها استوریج های All-Flash گفته می شود.

استوریج های All-Flash معمولا از انواع دیسکهای SSD فلشی بجای هاردهای مغناطیسی استفاده می کنند و سرعت انتقال و Performance به مراتب بالاتری نسبت به هاردهای معمولی ارائه می دهد.

استوریج های XtremIO یکی از بهترین استوریج های بازار استوریج های All-Flash محسوب می شود.

استوریج های  XtremIO علاوه بر پشتیبانی از هاردهای SSD  یا فلش ، می توانند از هاردهای مغناطیسی SAS و یا ترکیبی از هاردهای SSD فلش و هاردهای مغناطیسی استفاده کنند که به اصطلاح استوریج هیبرید گفته می شود.

استوریج های فلشی ، استوریج های نسل آینده دیتاسنتر می باشند به دلیل اینکه در آینده کلیه Application ها مستلزم کار با استوریج های این رده می باشند.

EMC ViPR یک استوریج Software-Defined می باشد که شرکت EMC در سال 2013 ارائه داد. نرم افزار ViPR با استفاده از ساده سازی استوریج مدیریت آن را آسان و اتوماتیک می سازد.

در این مطلب می خواهیم در خصوص خانواده های استوریجهای تولید شده توسط شرکت EMC و نیز موارد کاربرد آنها بحث بکنیم.
