هاردهای فلشی در حال تبدیل شدن به یک فاکتور حیاتی برای محیط های کاری با Workload بالا هستند ولی حقیقت این است که استوریج های All-Flash اساسا سیلوی دیگری ایجاد می کند و تبدیل به یک نگرانی بزرگتر مخصوصا در مقیاس پذیری می شوند. بخش بندی دیتا در سیلو های متفاوت از هم یک چالش همیشگی معماری می باشد و در بسیاری از موارد باعث کاهش انعطاف پذیری و عمیات Data Migration با هزینه های بالا را می شود.
شرکت HPE معماری جدید استوریج های All-Flash 3PAR StoreServ 20850 خود را که می توانند محفظه هایی با دیسکهای 8 ترابایتی ساپورت کنند ارائه نموده است. استوریج 3PAR StoreServ 20840 به کاربران این اجازه را می دهد تا بتواند از تمامی مزایای یک استوریج All-Flash بهره مند شود. شایان ذکر است این استوریج می تواند از انواع و اقسام هارد ها از معمولی گرفته تا فلشی استفاده نماید.
این دستگاه طوری توسط شرکت HPE طراحی شده است تا بتواند از ترکیبی از هاردهای High-Performance و هاردهای ظرفیت بالای Low-Performance بصورت یکجا استفاده کند تا کاربر استوریج اجازه استفاده از یک پلتفرم مقیاس پذیر و یکپارچه در حوزه های فایل و بلاک را داشته باشد. به نظر می رسد استوریجی با داشتن 8 نود و قابلیت پشتیبانی از 12 پتابایت فضای ذخیره سازی و همچنین قابلیت پشتیبانی از 3.2 میلیون درخواست IOPS رندم بتواند کلیه نیازهای محیط های کاری را تامین نماید.
این استوریج شرکت HPE با استوریج EMC VMAX در یک رنج می باشند ولی استوریج 3PAR StoreServ 20840 تا 85 درصد فضا و برق مصرفی و هزینه های سرمایشی کمتری را نیاز دارد.
استوریج HPE 3PAR 20840 در سرتاسر دنیا ارائه می شود و قیمت پایه ای 147 هزار دلاری دارد و در ابتدایی ترین محصولات در این حوزه می تواند 1920 هارد دیسک را پشتیبانی کند و حتی تا 2304 هارد دیسک را نیز در شرایط ارتقا پشتیبانی نماید.
